We get phone calls from panicked customers all the time saying, “I just realized I forgot to take my HCG drops this morning and now it’s 11 o’clock…what should I do?!?” or “I left my HCG at home so I’m going to miss my mid-day dose of HCG. Am I going to lose any weight today?!”
First of all, take a deep breath. It’s okay. You won’t starve. You shouldn’t stall.
If it is relatively close to when you should have taken your HCG dose, say, within two hours or so, go ahead and take it. Then, continue on your regular HCG schedule for your remaining HCG drop doses that day. If you completely missed an HCG dose, you don’t have to worry because you still have plenty of HCG in your system from your last few doses (as it stays in your body for about 72 hours). Again, just get back to your regular HCG schedule on your next dose.
And always, always keep sticking to the VLCD. There is no reason to change what/when/how much you’re eating if you miss or are late on an HCG dose.
So remember, try and stay on schedule as best you can, but if you miss a dose by a couple of hours or all together, it’s not the end of the world. All you have to do is get back on track as soon as you can.
